Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the aim of the Central and State Government is that Annadata farmers should not have to extend their hands in front of anyone. Under this target, 12 crore farmers in the country and 2.62 crore farmers in UP are being given the benefit of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. To free the farmers from the burden of debt, as soon as the government came to power in UP in 2017, loans worth Rs 36 thousand crore of 86 lakh farmers were waived off. Under the leadership of PM Modi, farmers got one and a half times the cost.

The Chief Minister was addressing the farmers and youth making innovations in agriculture at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow in the ‘Krishika-Kheti Se Samridhi Ki Aur’ program organized by Amar Ujala on Monday. On this occasion, he honored 11 progressive farmers by giving them a check of Rs 1 lakh each, clothes and memento. This honorarium was given to 11 farmers with the help of Saurabh Shivhare, Managing Director of Kapila Agricultural Industries Limited.
